Home Depot

Well, you live and learn!

I went into my new local Home Depot on Sunday to add to my registry...only to find out that the online registry and the in-store registry do not meld. SO, do not print out the registry from the internet and try to take it to the store to make a purchase. They are totally separate. If you want to purchase at the store just go in and ask them to print you a copy.

OR just get a gift card!

Thank you SO much for your kindness to purchase us ANYTHING...

We're down to 5-1/2 weeks and counting until the big day...with lots to do in between...
YAY!!! =D

Kiley Cousins

Or is it "Charlie's Angels"?

This is me with my cousins, Amy and Allison, last April. Amy and Allison have always been more like my sisters than my cousins...I have never faced anything big without them. I am six months younger than Amy, and nine months older than Alli, so we've always been tight.

AND, my girls have graciously accepted the offer to be bridesmaids in my wedding for the second time. =D I'm so excited! It just wouldn't be the same without them.

I also want to say "THANK YOU!!!!" to Lou and Andrew, their wonderful husbands, for making it possible for my girls not only to be at my wedding, but to participate in it! It means the world to me!

God's kindness knows no end!

To the bridesmaids...

To my wonderful bridesmaids...

Thank you SO much for standing with me yet again. As I type this most of you have not been asked yet to be in the wedding party. I apologize for the delay, I know some of you have been thinking you didn't make the list. David and I have been
prayerfully considering how large of a wedding party we can have...we have been so richly blessed with the gift of friendship that the list of who we would like to have is very long.

In any event, we will be making our phone calls to you in the next few days, and I wanted to have as much information available to you as I could when the time comes.

Thank you SO much for your understanding in the timing of this all. I love you dearly!

Your dress needs to be ordered from David's Bridal IMMEDIATELY. When you go in, make sure you give them my name - you will get a discount on everything you buy.

The style #: 81457 Color: Marine

You will also need to purchase a shawl to go with this. Style #: 8108 Color: Marine

Pick ANY dyeable shoe you're comfortable with - the dresses are full-length so there is no need to match shoes. Have the shoes dyed to match the dress. I did some price checking and David's is about $5 more than Payless, but you will save on gas and possibly needing to have the shoes re-dyed by going with David's...the choice is yours.

My hair stylist, Emma, will be available to you the day of the wedding, the fee is $65. She also does makeup for an additional charge, but I don't know what that is yet. Feel no obligation to use her for either of these, however I would HIGHLY recommend you have her do at least your hair if at all possible. You can let me know your decision later on.

Thank you again! I'm looking forward to us having lots of fun!

Love,
Colleen

We're Engaged!

On Tuesday, December 18, 2007 David proposed, and Colleen accepted. This blog is a place for us to chronicle the journey from "just friends" to "husband and wife", providing all the details - as we get them - for our attendants as well as our guests.

Thanks for being a part of our lives, and this special time. You can find details of the proposal on Colleen's blog:
